πŸ“£ πŸš€ Introducing QuantumJobs.ca: Canada’s quantum job board

Quantum isn’t a someday technology platform. It’s a fast-growing industry, and it’s hiring.

Canada now counts 105+ homegrown quantum firms spanning computing, sensing, communications, and enabling technologies, plus 40+ international companies with operations here.

Behind every breakthrough are the people who make it happen.

To help meet that demand, Quantum Industry Canada (QIC) has launched QuantumJobs.ca, Canada’s first job board dedicated to quantum careers.

As QIC CEO Lisa Lambert explains, "With QuantumJobs.ca, we’re strengthening the workforce pipeline by making it easier for top talent from Canada and around the world to find opportunities to shape Canada’s quantum economy."

🍁 Why Canada’s top CEOs are paying attention to quantum

Quantum is on the radar of Canada’s top business executives.

At the Business Council of Canada’s Autumn Members’ Meeting, QIC CEO Lisa Lambert, Photonic’s Dr. Stephanie Simmons, and Quantacet’s Dr. Martin Laforest joined The Globe and Mail’s Sean Silcoff for a conversation on the future of quantum, and what it means for business.

In a room of more than 100 CEOs representing every major sector of Canada’s economy, the panel explored how quantum computing, sensing, communications, and quantum-safe cybersecurity are moving from research labs into real-world deployment, shaping industries from finance and energy to health and manufacturing.

Why it matters

As Canada’s industry leaders look to the future, the message from the discussion was clear: quantum isn’t science fiction: it’s strategic. Canadian businesses that engage early will help define the future economy.

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ 🌐 Canada on the Quantum World Congress stage

There was a strong Canadian presence in the U.S. National Capital Region in mid-September, highlighting Canada's role as a trusted partner in building the global quantum economy. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸŒ

From the Embassy of Canada to the U.S., to the NATO Transatlantic Quantum Community (NATO TQC) Industry Network, to the Quantum World Congress main stage, Canadian voices and companies were everywhere.

Some highlights:

  • The Quantum Innovation Exchange: Securing Prosperity, Advancing Security β€” a bilateral by-invitation forum co-hosted by QIC, the Embassy of Canada, and the National Quantum Strategy Secretariat that included quantum innovators, government officials, defence experts, and investors
  • Contributing to the NATO TQC Industry Network's deep-dive with NATO Allied Command Transformation to advance the understanding of defence-related uses cases of quantum technologies.
  • Canadian leadership featured throughout the Quantum World Congress program, with QIC members and affiliates on plenaries and panels covering commercialization and industrialization.
  • A powerhouse delegation, meeting with global partners to strengthen collaboration and explore opportunities for scale: Anyon Systems, CMC Microsystems, D-Wave, evolutionQ, Honeywell, Ki3 Photonics, Multiverse Computing, Nanoacademic, Numana, Open Quantum Design, Phantom Photonics, Photonic, Quantum Bridge, Quantum City, Quantum Valley Ideas Lab, Xanadu, and QIC.

Canada is globally recognized as a quantum pioneer, and weeks like this show the value of trusted international partnerships in accelerating the next chapter. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸŒπŸš€

πŸŽ₯ QUANTUM NOW / ICI QUANTIQUE recordings are now available

In June, immediately after the G7 Leaders' Summit, QUANTUM NOW / ICI QUANTIQUE brought together senior decision-makers from across the G7 and beyond for one of the year’s most important conversations on the emerging quantum economy.

Hosted in MontrΓ©al by Quantum Industry Canada (QIC) in partnership with Distriq, the Quantum Innovation Zone, and with The Quantum Insider as lead market intelligence partner, this exclusive executive forum convened 375+ attendees from 210+ organizations across 10+ countries.

The forum explored how quantum technologies are rapidly becoming central to global markets, national security, and industrial competitiveness.

The focus: what leaders need to do today to become quantum-ready and quantum-enabled.
